Where can I get a nice dinner set?

I'd really like a nice dinner set that I can keep on my dresser for special occasions, but not sure where from.

I have have quite a traditional taste. Like floral and old fashioned style.

I've had a look a Debenhams but nothing there takes my fancy really.

Any ideas ?

John Lewis?

I'd go to auctions and find a nice old set if you like vintage style.

It might be worth taking a look on the Denby website, we have a nice set from there that we bought several years ago.

I’ve just had this set from Sainsbury’s:

www.sainsburys.co.uk/shop/gb/groceries/sainsburys-palatial-dinner-plate-129954711-p

I liked the delicate vintage style and that they are classic enough not to date. Our day to day set is Denby which is 6 years old and going strong. I assume these won’t be anything like the quality but I’ve bought them just for dinner parties etc so hopefully they’ll be fine with odd uses. Cheap enough to buy a few spares too just in case of breakages

Charity shops usually have cheap good quality sets. If you choose a well known brand like Wedgwood or Royal Albert you could keep adding to it from different sources like car boot sales.

I like ecookshop.co.uk (tried to link but it gave a spam warning) for buying new.
