Best recommended cordless vacuum cleaner?!?

Hi all,

Have decided to buy a cordless vacuum cleaner and was set on getting a Dyson, probably a V6, as don't mind spending a fair amount but not loads.... but when I've gone to read reviews on the V6 - there was such mixed reviews and then started looking at other brands and now I just feel overwhelmed

So I thought best to ask my fellow Mumsnet users what they recommend?! Thanks

I love my Dyson V6 Animal 😍

I have a v6 but am craving a v10. The suction isn’t quite good enough on the v6.

Daily mail did an article on this yesterday, best 6 cordless. They loved the v10 and some other one (helpful).

I just bought a V8. It’s fantadtic. 40 minutes hoovering time.

I had the same issue OP but finally settled on the new GTech Pro.

It is fab!

I have the V8 Animal and I actually enjoy hoovering now ☺️ It's fab and can't recommend it enough. My mum has recently bought the GTech but she lives on her own with no pets. I'm not sure how it would cope with my 2 very fluffy moggies. I also think the GTech almost looks like a toy hoover but my mum loves hers.

I have a dyson v8 absolute and I think it is great.

I actually like that you’ve only got 40 minutes. That’s ample to do my house but it makes me dilly dally less.

We have the vax blade. I like it. It's so much cheaper than the dyson or gtech.
I do still use the main Hoover though as well. There's five of us and a shaggy dog and I am so far impressed with the vax, even the dc want to use it!

We recently bought the Bosch Athlet Animal after reading a lot of reviews about various brands.

It's fantastic, copes really well with our fluffy cat's hair and is so light and efficient compared to my old pull-around cylinder that I now - incredibly for a natural slattern - find vacuuming a pleasure!

I have a gtech upright and handheld and I love them both. Battery life is fine, easy to charge. Has made such a difference to me being able to just pull out a hoover and have done a quick go round in the time it used to take to get the hoover out, unravel the cord, attach the accessories and go. No pets just me and a messy teenager ds.

I would love a Shark. The reviews are fab.

Shark. I love it. Especially the headlights. Powerful, easy to manage.
