How do you pay your home cleaner?

If you have one! I am thinking of starting my own residential cleaning business (just me cleaning homes to start with) and wondered how payment works/how many hours cleaning you require? Thank you in advance for any replies!

We pay £11 per hour. Cleaner self employed. We pay direct into her bank account. Best for both this way. No quibbles eg Leaving cash under the fruit bowl is a no no!

Our cleaner is self employed. £10 an hour. We pay her in cash but I know some of her other clients pay her by bank transfer.

She does 2 hours a week for us. I would like to up this but she is fully booked at the moment.

We are a cleaning company and our clients can either set up a standing order or allow us to set up their payments via our direct debit facility.

We discourage cash because it's hard to keep track of for accounts and we don't take cheques as nobody who works for us, including myself, has time free to deposit them during the day.

Cash left for her £9ph

Cash left for her, 12ph. Worth double.

Sorry to hijack, but I’m considering getting a cleaner and wondering how much could be done in 2 hours?
Tell me to start my own thread if I’m being cheeky!
(3 bed house, 2 downstairs reception rooms, 1 bathroom - doable?)
