Le Creuset pans - can I use ajax/jif scourer to clean it please?

DH made a delish risotto but he burnt the bottom of the inside of my favourite casserole. Can I use scourer to get rid of it?

I wouldn't, you'll bugger it. Stick it back on the hob with either hot water and baking powder, or a can of coke in it. Let it simmer for a while, then leave it to cool. It shuld come off after that.

You can actually buy le crueset cleaner, it's a bit like a paste and gets off all burnt on bits. John Lewis and House of Fraser stocks it.

First, boil the kettle and put it in the casserole with a few drops of washing up liquid.

You may have to do this twice but it will make a HUGE difference.

Sprinkle some bicarb on it next and use a dishwashing brush.

DON'T SCOUR IT!!!! I had to clean mine after I burned it really badly the whole bottom was black, try lemon juice with hot water and then rinse it out and put in white vinegar. It'll take a lot of scrubbing but it should come clean.

Have bought coke but do you think that I should do the lemon juice/dishwasher tabs/fairy.
