How to clean a cordless Dyson

My cordless Dyson may be on its last legs, it's nearly 5 years old, but I want to stretch it's life out as long as possible.

The problem is that it's little dust collecting chamber is beyond revolting. I clean it out with a cloth and cleaning spray but there are crevices I just can't reach.

Any tips?

A wooden kebab skewer gets all the hair out.

U can take the whole plastic dirt collector off and wash it properly

Do you think it would survive a dishwasher?

I completely took mine apart and washed all bits of it in the sink. Didn’t damage the electrics at all and it works properly again now. Dried it in the radiators. Don’t try to use until bone dry

I clean mine as others above do, but I did find that the blue filter was best cleaned under the max power of the cold tap. It was like a jet wash and cleaned a clogged bit at the bottom.
