Tangled hair in carpet

Just wondering if anyone else has long hair/long dog hair that somehow gets tangled in the short carpet fibers?

I have a pet hair hoover without the pesky hair roll bar which commonly gets clogged.

My issue is that the hair physically ties and tangles with the carpet itself so no matter what brush attachment I use, nothing gets hoovered up

I've cleared brushes and checked for clogs and my hoover is fine. It's making it a back breaking chore

Not sure if this is what you want, but you can use a rubber broom on the carpet before you vacuum. Rubber brooms are quite reasonable - try Wilko.
Alternatively, go on your knees and run hands in rubber gloves over the carpet. You could just use a normal brush but the rubber picks it up better. I think you can get rubber mitts for dog grooming in pound shops.
You will lift up loads of hair.

Never had this problem but had hair tangles on the hoover head. I just cut them off.

The dog brush sounds like a great idea.

Why so much hair? If it is yours/family member's and not a pet, think what it could be. I had an underactive thyroid and my hair was falling out. I now take medication and no more hair loss.

I spend 10 minutes shuffling on the carpet in rubber soles trainers. Full leg workout and bonus hairball!
