How to remove alien slime from wall

Dd rubbed her slimey alien thing (yuk) on a painted wall. It has left a big mark. Baby wipes have made no difference. I'm assuming it's some sort of oil residue. Any ideas please?

If there is a way to remove it I'd like to know! I have loads of greasy Blu tack marks that I'd like to remove. I've tried quite a few things - even oven cleaner to break down the grease.

I have a feeling that the only way to get rid is to paint over it Confused

Washing up liquid? That breakdown grease
Iron and some brown paper?

My daughter did something similar a few months ago, I tried everything to get it off! In the end I gave up and painted over it! Do you have any if the paint left or can you get a small sample pot to touch it up?

Try white vinegar

Thank you. No paint unfortunately - previous owners not v friendly and can't recall the brand or name of paint. Will try your suggestions thanks

You could possibly get a few sample pots and mix them until you have the right colour? That's my plan, as we will be moving soon! The walls need a paint anyway but I want to leave it in a decent state.
