Dh has gone to the gym, leaving me & Ellie to our own devices
The snot monster has appeared at our door again both me & Ellie are snotting for Britain today. Didn't make BabySigning as she cried for nearly an hour

Right off I go Ellie is in need of a desnotting Hope I haven't missed anybody.

EHM Ellie sounds delightful at the moment!, luckily this year my lot have all been well. That never happens in this household, I haven't even had a cold and that is saying something. I bet I've spoken too soon! I need to think about some food for tea today and have no idea what to do for it. Any ideas from you lovely ladies? Would love pasties but can't travel down to just get them!

aufish Hope good health continues in your household We just appear to have had one thing after another My mum makes pasties with premade pastry, turnip, onion, chunks of beef & potato. Very morish....yum

I fancy home made scones but can't be arsed to make them Ellie is napping & Dh still at gym.

I remember my gran making pasties every week on her kitchen table, they would be the size of a baking tray each! I'm going to make some tomorrow for me and the kids and really enjoy them, don't think the other half will be having any as he will be asleep. So are you from that end of the country as well? Never thought to ask before.

aufish I am from the northeast but we love homely hearty food in our family. I've made cheese scones & plain scones they just cooling.

EHM I really should do some baking as well, been really lazy these last few weeks with it.

luda I'm not working now until next week. Would you like to get together at all? You could come to mine if you wanted. You'd have to find lots of phrases to use instead of "My, what a mess!" i.e. "This room will be really nice once you've finished" and "Oooh, this room has potential!" E-mail me if you'd like to.

Evening has been ok. I like the sound of pasties. Not sure how i would be with them at the moment though.. I have the Drs in the morning to discuss scan results. Will let you know how i get on. Also Mums friend in Turkey has done an absent healing on me to sort the gall stones . Am going to start a thread on it to see if its possible or not! I am not sure i believe in it.

Sorry I didn't report back earlier, particularly if 've worried you SimplySparkling. HV came to follow up on me querying pnd/generally not coping very well atm. I have started a course of counselling, and had a long chat with h/v who has given me some things to think about/follow up. She has also referred me fpr physio for the sciatica, which is a big factor in my mood at the moment, so I'm feeling more positive now.

I've paid my cat fees if anyone wants my email (You don't have to pay to receive a cat) but say soon, as it runs out next month!

I've done dps tax return this evening (Huge bill, but we have enough saved up to cover it I hope) It is always better to know just how much we owe, I think.

Hi EHM. I hope Ellie sleeps okay tonight. Just to mention, normally on MN, someone puts gaps between their e-mail address so that scanners working cyberspace (does my lack of knowledge of anything technical show clearly yet? ) i.e. susan a jones at bt dot something or other. Also, it's important that someone pretending to be your MNer friend doesn't e-mail you and give false details, so whenever I've e-mailed someone, I've used the thread to say "I've just e-mailed you" to prove that I am the person e-mailing. Sorry that's long winded!

Jelley You didn't worry me, honestly. I will take you up on the CAT offer as then we'll be able to talk off board. Sorry to hear about the back pain. I hope it can be relieved for you soon.

It's a funny thing, and I don't want to generalise hugely or go into detail, but I think there are a few of us on this thread who have similar problems/fears/hopes for the future etc. Perhaps that's why we're a nice, understanding bunch!

I'm doing well. I stillllll have a shiny sink. I have cleared 2 hotspots today. I've just cleared my kitchen so tomorrow will finsih off by wiping down the doors, walls, cupboards etc. Then with the exception of the fridge & ovens (yuk to both) that is my whole kitchen done

Wow well done Glassslipper. You are doing great. i still haven't done the lunches or cleaned the fridge! Maybe i will find time for that tomorrow!
