Quadrant shower mat

I had to chuck mine after guest with norovirus - as it was rubber backed, I couldn't wash it at anything more than 30°.

Anyone seen plain ordinary towelling quadrant shaped mats? Not really looking forward to making one!

I bought one from Amazon a while back. Came with a pedestal mat I didn't need or use. You could always cut a rectangular mat down to fit.

Why didn't you soak or rinse it in laundry disinfectant rather than chuck it?

And this is why I love Mumsnet. I would never have dreamt that you could get shower mats and have slipped over so many times. Thanks Op off I pop to amazon Grin

Agree with pp can you not just zoflora it?

Pinkfizzy · 09/03/2018 16:11

@purplefrog
It didn't seem worth keeping - hardly washed it as was so heavy when waterlogged so a bit of a pain. Bleaching a jet black one might not have gone well, anyway.

Only bleach is any good for norovirus from googling. Anti bac no help.

@wowfudge, I think you recommended it to me a few years back!

I think that I will bite the bullet, cut down a normal one then whip the edges- that'll be fun (not!)

Thanks all.

Ah OK - I didn't realise. I'll let you know if I see any that can be washed at high temps.
