Iron setting on washing machine

Does anyone use this? Do I use it once the clothes are dry? I have a new Bosch washing machine, it has a dryer too but I’ve never used it.
If I dry clothes on the clothes horse can I chuck it back on with the ironing setting, it doesn’t seem to do anything and I’d expect it to with a bloody expensive machine.

Doesn't it mean that the clothes don't quite dry to make them easier to iron?
I don't think the tumbler irons the clothes.

As said above. The dryer will dry the clothes to a slightly less dryness suitable for actual ironing. I never use mine because I rarely iron anymore.

Oh damn it I thought my washer might actually iron clothes for me Grin I don’t even have an iron and don’t intend to start now, but all my clothes have come out really creased and I’m not sure why.

Hell, I'd buy a washer that did my ironing for me too Grin

But yes, mine has this setting and it means it leaves stuff slightly damp, so that ironing is easier afterwards (ever tried ironing bone dry linen?). Sorry!

Are you taking them out as soon as the dryer stops? And a good shake before putting stuff in the dryer? Mine has this stupid beeping sound but at least I know I have to go and empty the drier before I send the children to school in creased clothes 😂

If it is a washing machine cycle that you are talking about, the iron symbol usually means a lower spin speed to reduce creases making them easier to iron. My Bosch has this. I still occasionally iron the clothes!

If it's a tumble dryer cycle, then the PP are right.

Damn it! I’ve only just moved out in the last month or so and at my mums the washing machine was always on so it didn’t have time to sit in the washing machine and crease.
I’ll actually have to get my arse in gear, damnit!
