Cleaning outside windows on house - 3 stories

TheClitterati · 28/02/2018 12:32

Things I'm puzzling over after 20 years of living in a flat, and having recently moved to a 3 story house.

How do you clean the outside of windows? I don't believe everyone uses windowwcleaners and I'm not about to go 3 floors up on a ladder.

Do you use telescopic poles and microfiber or squeejes?

TIA

How far do your upper windows open? Modern double glazed high up windows can have catches that allow them to open far enough to clean the outside.

We have a window cleaner.

I can open them wide but don't see how I could hang out far enough to clean them.

I prefer to hire professionals in such cases. Our local Eco Pro service in Auckand has affordable prices for deep windows washing, so I can afford to use their services once a month. Can't imagine what would I do without them.

The window cleaner has a long brush which squirts water. We have two velux windows which have to be tilted inside for a scrub. If you open my windows wide enough, you can just about clean the outside. I think.
