Morning all - well here is day three
Still not too taxing I am sure you will agree.

That can be done!

Sink not so shiny now, full of breakfast things, but will tackle it later. Also have to finish clearing and cleaning two kitchen cupboards.

Off on the school run now - have a good day all!

tigerschick · 04/05/2007 08:14

Goodness - My 13mo is taking bigger steps than these! Tho I have to admit I haven't signed up for the emails yet, are they really worth it?

glassslipper · 04/05/2007 08:23

She's sucking you all in already

My sink has just been emptied. Will shine later as have to feed DD2 now.

theheadgirl · 04/05/2007 08:48

Its theheadgirls birthday - have a drink for me gals (then wash your glass in the shiny sink)
mine is done after breakfast
Emails are quite motivating IMO, esp. laundry reminders.

glassslipper · 04/05/2007 08:52

Happy Birthday theheadgirl. No housework on your birthday has always been my rule.

theheadgirl · 04/05/2007 08:54

hmmm, I like like your thinking glassslipper

hippipotami · 04/05/2007 11:05

Happy birthday headgirl - no FLYing for you today!!

Enjoy your day. Do you have anything exciting planned for the occasion?

NormaStanleyFletcher · 04/05/2007 11:38

Right - back from mums and tots. I did the dishwasher this morning and put another load of washing in. I am going to tidy the kitchen and hopefully do my porch while DD naps

headgirl - happy birthday! No Flying for you today. Have a good one!

Managed to leave the house looking respectable this morning. (The house, that is, not necessarily me!) Will be back to computer if ds1 lets me later to tackle today's steps. Just off to get him from nursery.

Smutti · 04/05/2007 12:00

Happy Birthday, the HeadGirl!

Sink shiny, but alas, no make-up as I rushed out to the doc's (can you come NOW?) Ashamed to admit I wasn't dressed at 10am. Perhaps the Flylady has it right! I would have been prepared for meeting people looking half decent!

purpleturtle · 04/05/2007 12:55

Happy Birthday, HeadGirl!

If I sign up for e-mails now, am I going to be a couple of days behind, or will it not matter?

NormaStanleyFletcher · 04/05/2007 13:01

No you can sign up now. You do get loads. But how much effort is it to delete them? I have started cleaning out my pantry type cupboard, but got sidetracked by wedding plans. I am going to do it for 15 minutes NOW. Will report back.

Hello there
I am going to join in too if that's OK. I did fly for a bit last year but then we moved house and I totally forgot about routines. So I'm back, sittig in work so can't comment yet on the shineiness of my sink but I am wearing shoes!

Looking forward to a beautifilly streamlined house

wotcha - finally on the wagon
Shiny sink ... and am madly tidying as IL over tomorrow (I know, not babysteps, but am hoping it'll mean I'm off to a good start next week!
Happy birthday Headgirl!

NormaStanleyFletcher · 04/05/2007 14:00

Welcome bfb and funnypeculiar

I am off to the afternoon session of mums'n'tots now, but have mostly cleared out my larder thingy (lots of sprouting potatoes hiding in corners have been relcated to the compost bin)

If you are tidying up before a visit there are some quite good ideas in the crisis cleaning page

I have also booked a band for my wedding and sorted out licencing for the alcohol and reassured the MIL - nothing to do with FLYing, but hey

I hope you don't mind me popping on here to cheer you all on.

Happy birthday theheadgirl.

Smutti I now jump in the shower and get dressed before coming downstairs in the morning. I used to have to drive the kids to the bus stop when they were running late wearing my pjs and coat on top so many times! It's one thing that has changed my mornings and somehow enables me to leave for work before the worst of the traffic.

purpleturtle · 04/05/2007 14:43

Have signed up for e-mails (I think!). I quite like e-mail, so am looking forward to some arriving.

i need to go and sweep up where ds2 just ate/dropped his lunch.

glassslipper · 04/05/2007 15:37

purpleturtle - i'll remind you of your fondness for email after about your 50th message

My sink is still clean. I need to unload and reload my dishwahser and put my washing on the line. I've had friends over so need to spend 10 mins picking up a million toys. Then I can relax and do a bit more later.

purpleturtle · 04/05/2007 16:11

No really, 50 messages would be great!

The first one arrived suggesting I clear out the car, and so I DID! Only took me 15 mins to do the lot. Well, I haven't hoovered it or anything, just collected all the tissues, toy cars, and pages of directions to various places that were lying on the floor. Am quite pleased with myself.

Although ds2 is not at all impressed that he had to sit in his car seat for 15 minutes and not even go anywhere.

theheadgirl · 04/05/2007 16:34

Thanks for my birthday wishes I have been out for lunch, and we are having take away pizza for tea. So the sink will stay shiny!

sorkycake · 04/05/2007 16:57

Happy Birthday Headgirl!
We're not too bad in here today, but we didn't get dressed til 10am and I did feel feel skanky for it, so will def do better tomorrow.
The sink was shiny this morning and it was a fab feeling to open the curtains straightaway rather than after half an hour of being up so neighbours didn't see the mess!
Just got back from day out so about to do tea.
I'm going to tackle my hall cupboard when the kids have gone to bed, eek!

NormaStanleyFletcher · 05/05/2007 09:10

Hey laydeeez - come and join me for the rest of the week
