I want to buy my son a food processor. He wants to make pastes and sauces as well as chop and cut etc. I’d like to get one that will last a few years any suggestions? Or advice on what to look for? I’ve never used one.

I bought a Kenwood compact from Amazon and it's brilliant!

I have had the Magimix 3200 for years now, it was a great buy (around the £200 mark). I use it most days and it saves me so much time in the kitchen! It’s really easy to use and so quiet… not sure what I would do without it.
