***Norma's FLYing Baby Steps - Day 2 - Time to get dressed!!! ****

NormaStanleyFletcher · 03/05/2007 06:23

Day two begins here

This one is pretty easy for me as I have to go to work today . But I will read through the many emails that Flylady has sent me inbetween staring at spreadsheets.

My sink is shining this morning, and it does make me feel better to come down to the kitchen when it look nice

Morning Norma.

It was nice to come down to a shiny sink

I havent subscribed to the emails this time. But I will go back and look at my old housework list and see if it needs updating.

EvilSmeillingBugger · 03/05/2007 08:06

Morning, DH was home yesterday and cleaned round the house I'll try and to the next step when I get home from work tonight

EvilSmeillingBugger · 03/05/2007 08:08

Ah, after reading the link, me thinks that the getting dressed and doing hair should be done now!
(I'm burstingbug btw)

fryalot · 03/05/2007 08:09

Failed at the first hurdle, I'm afraid.... sat down for five minutes to let the washing up dry before I actually dried it and put it away... fell asleep on settee to be woken by dp at half past ten saying "go to bed"

fryalot · 03/05/2007 08:43

ok, sink shined, am dressed and my hair is brushed.

What's next?

chirpygirl · 03/05/2007 09:37

Well I am in the office today as well so I had to be dressed, but I did do most of it downstairs as my smart clothes were on the dryer!
And my sink had a glass, a bowl and a spoon in it from DH who got home late and was peckish, but it was easy enough to clean out this morning and I left it all shiny.

Only worry now is he is home with DD all day and has to feed her and himself, so methinks my sink will not be so shiny after all, and I have to work tomorrow as well....but at leats i did MY bit!

hippipotami · 03/05/2007 09:54

Right, am here...
Am dressed, but not shoes - we don't wear shoes in our house....

Did not shine my sink last night, so will now go and clean the kitchen and then shine my sink.

See you later!

theheadgirl · 03/05/2007 10:07

Morning gals! Always do get dressed to the shoes (flip flops indoors), but like hippi didn't do the sink before bed .

Its done now though, thats what counts!

hippipotami · 03/05/2007 10:24

Not yet done sink, but have done washing up and have cleaned the inside of 3 kitchen cupboards. Have also put breadmaker on and wiped surfaces. Not a bad start...

sorkycake · 03/05/2007 10:42

Up, washed & dressed.
Didn't clean kitchen after dinner last night so had it all to do this morning , I'll not be doing that again, it was horrible to come down to.
Dh was told off about the mess as he was supposed to load the d/w last night and did bot all. Luckily (or not) I was up early and did it all before everyone else woke up.
Kitchen now clean, washing done and out. Tidied downstairs and have hoovered.
Have listened to kids read and am now gonna have a cuppa before baby wakes up .

EllieKthePA · 03/05/2007 11:13

dressed and hair brushed
not bad with 3yr old and 3 week old to see to!

now have to claen sink ..........

purpleturtle · 03/05/2007 14:26

Yay! Did that one without knowing.
Are they all this easy?

Smutti · 03/05/2007 14:41

Purpleturtle, you're obvioulsy not having the same problem keeping your sink shiny? Mine is costantly re-filling!

purpleturtle · 03/05/2007 17:01

The dishwasher helps a lot!

NormaStanleyFletcher · 03/05/2007 18:05

OK - I have been reading the e-mails on and off at work, and some of them have some really good ideas in. Anyone who has not signed up I really think you should. It really takes no time at all to delete them if you don't want to read them (it is much easier than housework ).

right have to feed dd,.....

Norma, I'm a regular FLYer - i've just fallen on the wagon. It's easy and it works for me. Perhaps when you've got through all the babysteps you can come along to the main fly thread.

My sink is still shiny! I've made a point of putting stuff straight in the dishwasher so as not to muck the sink up

NormaStanleyFletcher · 03/05/2007 21:10

Hi glassslipper - we do intend (or atleast I do) to join the grownups when we have finished our baby steps.

Must go fill dishwasher now.

glassslipper · 03/05/2007 21:51
