Can we have a thrilling (not) discussion about getting out stains?

I have some PJ Bottoms that have a stain or five on them. Still there after several washes with Vanish. Trousers are navy and stain is orange ish. Any advice?

Sounds like a bleach splash to me; have you been cleaning in your pjs? I hope it's not, because it won’t come out, as it will have removed the dye.

I haven't! I'm trying to think what the stain could be - only noticed it when I did the laundry, not when it went into the basket Sad My favourite pair too! Grin

I agree that it sounds like they have been bleached rather than stained as orange wouldnt normally show up on navy. If it is a stain then rubbing washing up liquid into the stain before washing usually helps

Damn Sad

Yes agree with all here, Orange on navy is a bleach spot.

If you haven’t been cleaning in your pjs, and as you said it only happened when you were doing laundry. - only thing I can think of is when it has been washed, if some undissolved detergent has sat on the fabric in the wash and taken a while to dissolve it has bleached the fabric (this would normally only happen with powder, as liquid/gels and pods don’t contain bleach, but some reviews online have said pods have managed to bleach clothes).
