Salt dispenser lid jammed on my Bosch dishwasher

Red light showing needs salt but I can't get the lid off! It appears to be jammed tight. Tried wearing rubber gloves as thought it might give more of a grip but to no avail.
Anyone got any tips please.

When that happened to me, it turned out I was turning it the wrong way Blush

You're absolutely right! Think that was what I was doing. Finally I managed to turn it slightly the correct way but still couldn't get it off but luckily my DH has more strength and did manage. Washed the lid carefully as there was a lot of dry salt underneath it, filled the salt container and put the lid back on.
