Wool Rug

I bought a wool rug about 4months ago and it stank when took it out of the wrapper. I assumed it was just because it had been sealed etc, but even now its been aired etc it still smells a bit - any tips on how to get rid of it? I don't want to use anything too chemical as DS crawls around on it all day

Bicarb of soda is meant to be good at neutralising smells. Think you sprinkle it on and vacuum it off after an hour or so.
