Essential oils to make house smell nice-how to use them?

I have a clay heart thing from Lakeland that you put drops of oil on and then hang it on the radiator and it’s supposed to smell nice when they heat up, but it’s never really worked.

I also had a similar thing that was magnetic and stuck to the radiator but I think it was just too heavy for the magnet and would just work it’s way down until it was on the floor!

How can I use oils AND the radiator together effectively?!

Not heard of what you've described but you can use essential oils in a diffuser (electric ones are quite good), by hoovering up a cotton wool ball soaked in a few drops (then the house smells nice when you hoover), or by using in a homemade air freshener spray (google for ideas how to make these)

Oh that's a good idea about the hoover Chimi I use a homemade spray directly into the dust collector area of the hoover also with anti flea because of our cats.

I use neat lavender ess, oil drops on a duster for cleaning the leather suite , it's great for the leather and it makes the room smell lovely, I use mint too. You could just wipe the radiators with the duster.

I have no idea what you're describing but I just put a few drops of essential oil onto a cotton pad and put it on the radiator.

We have a mist diffuser - you plug it in. I only use it with lavender oil in the bedroom.

I've got a reed diffuser sitting on top of the hall radiator. Lovely smell as you come through the front door.
