Stinky puke on carpet

Anyone know how to get rid of the smell of puke from carpet?! - i cleaned it with fairy liquid then sprayed vanish oxy-action on it twice and it still smells.

Bi carb works wonders (after the initial cleaning up and shampoo etc)-I left it on overnight and hoovered it up the next day. Smell gone!

Deffo bi-carb

neutradol carpet powder is great too.
