Ecover Dishwasher Tablets repeatedly blocked our drain!

We have used all Ecover products since they began their business. Sadly we may now have to give up using the Dishwasher tablets.
Over the last few months, they seemed to have changed the product as our drain gets repeatedly blocked. At first, we didn't know what it was and assumed it was another cause. But after it kept on happing every few weeks we looked at the blocking substance in more detail. It was Ecover Dishwasher tablets. I have written to the company and asked them what changes they have made that's causing this. We also have been having other problems. Our glasses and plates sometimes get covered with a white film. Yes, like others have already mentioned, it doesn't rinse off. Until I read the other comments, on another feed, I didn't put it down to Ecover, but now I have to. I am disappointed to find they have not kept up the quality of their products alongside supporting the environment. Our home environment has been ruined. The overflow from the blocked drain has repeatedly flooded our herb garden. Not an environmentally sound choice

Oh dear 🙁 We use Ecozone tablets and haven’t had any problems. There have been a few changes to ecover products that I’ve disliked, eg the new all purpose liquid smell is rank.

Just a heads up about Ecover.

Ecover and Method have been bought out by SC Johnson, which is one of the worst companies for animal testing in the world.

The products may be cruelty free but the parent company where the profits are going isn’t.

Thanks for the info. I will take a look at these products.

I've had great results from Ecozone. I've tried other brands and now have loads of unused dishwasher tablets sitting in the shed because I always have to go back to Ecozone. They smell good and leave my stuff clean and shiny.

It could be your dishwasher not getting hot enough to dissolve the tablets. Glasses do get permanently etched over time from the dishwasher too. Did you see if the clouding came off with vinegar as it could also be limescale?
