is Tupperware still the best?

I have a mixture of Tupperware, Sainsbury's own, Ikea and all sorts of other makes and I plan on buying a complete new set for our shiny new kitchen.

Any recommendations gratefully received.

TIA

I swear by the lock and lock containers from Lakeland. I used to swear by Tupperware but Lock and Lock are far superior.

BigGapMum · 25/01/2018 16:03

I have a mixture in my kitchen. I wouldn't buy any more Tupperware though. For some bizarre reason if it's been sat unused in the cupboard for some time it seems to go greasy, whereas none of the other brands do. Has anyone else found this?

WellTidy · 25/01/2018 18:54

I love lock and lock. So many size options too. And they stack. Cheaper in Amazon, I've found, than in Lakeland.

I love lock and lock too! The kids survive the dishwasher better than any others.
I've a couple of Spanish ones, same design, but somehow more beautiful, that I like even better, but I'd have to go to Spain to get more...

Kids??? Lids!

Cleanerswin · 25/01/2018 21:17

Sisters. Made in NZ, BPA free, nice designs, not too dear.

GummyGoddess · 25/01/2018 21:25

I like my Joseph Joseph nesting ones, all the containers and lids fit into the largest container so you don't have an avalanche when opening the cupboard.

Another vote for Sistema from NZ. Had some of mine for years

Marmite27 · 26/01/2018 07:00

We have lock lock and sistema.

The sistema aren’t as leak proof as the lock lock in my experience

Babababababybel14 · 26/01/2018 15:25

I don't buy any. Dh works in a Chinese restaurant and is constantly bringing home the plastic containers they use for deliveries. I don't have space for any more

EmmaGrundyForPM · 26/01/2018 15:26

Sistema is good but not leak proof. Lock and lock stuff is great.

NannyR · 26/01/2018 15:32

I like these from Ikea. I've had about 12 of them for five years and they still look great and the lids still fit.

I got rid of all the odds and ends of storage boxes and bought identical boxes, that way they stack neatly in the cupboard and fridge and the lids all fit.
