I don't know but ours go there too.

I have recently taken to buying multipacks of the same colour. There's more chance of getting a pair then!

lol at socks and teaspoons...Our washing machine broke a couple of weeks ago and guess what was blocking the pipe? Socks and teaspoons! (ds had inserted teaspoons under the handle of powder tray, socks had worked their evil way into the drainage pipe)

friendlyedjit · 27/04/2007 21:23

the sod is though- that once you send off the single socks to sock hell, the ones from sock heaven that have been missing seem to reappear back! I have tried the same colour thing, seemed to work for a while until i noticed the children seemed to be constantly swimming in my socks!
I howvere love the warmed months as being selfish don't have to worry about my sockwear , only the gals.. and may even get a chance to look at that plastic bag full of oddities under the couch that may now have some pairs!

southeastastra · 27/04/2007 21:32

it's the law of sock

pinkchampagne · 27/04/2007 21:33

I would like to know what happens to them too - I think my washing machine must eat them!
I have a whole bag full up with single socks & I never seem to find a matching pair!!

friendlyedjit · 27/04/2007 21:37

we have a squirrel who hangs out in garden who plays swingball, I must look closely at his feet!

MrsWho · 27/04/2007 21:45

We seem to lose one nearly every time we go swimming don't even have to be near anyone else
