DS2 has very kindly emptied the entire contents of my very expensive bottle of Clinique foundation over my cream bedding and himself.

Anyone know how to get it out!!!?

wash it, now.

ChippyMinton · 26/04/2007 11:12

scrape off what you can, soak in cold water then wash it with a scoop of vanish if you have some.

twinkleinthesky · 26/04/2007 11:14

dont have any powder vanish... only soap vanish... will that do?

He looked very proud of himself.... twinkle's face was not a happy one!!!!

You could try soaking it in bio-tex if the scrubbing doesn't help, but in my experience spilt foundation doesn't come off

did he look Fabulous with the foundation on though?

chuck it in the machine with lots of detergant and a heap of vanish and hope for the best. don't scrub it as you'll only rub it in

Sunyshineymummy · 26/04/2007 11:55

Soak it in Napisan. Get's most things out IME.

twinkleinthesky · 26/04/2007 12:12

the silly sod didnt even put it on his face..... I obviously havent trained him well enough.... he just covered all his clothes in it... and my bed!!!

He did look like a work of art though - snigger...

I tipped a load of boiling water on it and it seemed to 'melt' some of it... now Ive shoved it in the washing machine and am hoping for the best.....

Oh twinkle - you should never put hot water on a stain as it sets it (useful advice from my mother) always rinse with cold water

I hope it comes out in the wash. I feel lucky that the worst my DS managed this morning was to scatter 3 boxes of paper rose petals all over the bedroom floor (left overs from our wedding)

twinkleinthesky · 26/04/2007 17:01

oh bugger - didnt know that!

The stain came out better than I thought it would though... but not completely. Dont think the clothes would be wearable and my washing machine is giving up on me which didnt help.. ah well.. put it down to life's rich chemistry of lessons

You could always put a beige wash in colour on it.........
