Hi sorry, silly question really. OH works away in week and I have no idea how to attach pictures to an e mail. To start with I need to get them from the camera onto the computer and then attached to the e mail. Anyone know how? Thanks!

What program are you using for mail?

nikki81 · 25/04/2007 21:25

God, don't ask me that! Not very good on the computer. We have an apple mac laptop, I know I need to plug camera in to download the photos. Do I save these in a file and then attach them in my hotmail account. Was also wondering if I plug in my LG phone and download them on the program for LG could I then send them through an e mail?

Oh it's easy on a mac. Plug in camera. Computer recognises files. Save them into my pics (will prob. happen automatically).

Since you are using Hotmail you don't have an email client! All you need do is write an email and click attachment then manually find your pics in the pictures folder.

So I have to make a new file to save the pics in first? Name it something I recognise as OH has all his pics on here too. Then look for the file when im ready to attach to the e mail? Thanks girls!!

Umm no.....basically your photos already HAVE file names assigned automatically by the camera. You may have to open them and change them to something that makes more sense, but yes, putting them in a folder where can find them is sensible (or on the desktop).

Don't know if anyone can work out what i have done!! I recently sent over some pics of my dd to someone but must have done something wrong as now whenever i write an email and then click attachments to then pick something to attach my file of dd's pics come up automatically! So somehow i must have 'saved' these or something to email??? OH i don't know!

Blossom - its just reverting to the last file. If you pick another one, next time you'll see that one....

Thanks WMMC, how thick am I?!! Whilst we are on the subject....how come sometimes when someone sends me an attachment my laptop comes up saying something like 'this computer doesn't have the right programme (?) to open it' doesn't always do this just every once in a while!?

If you're on a mac open iphoto, go to the organise bit, select the photo you want to send, click email and the message comes up with the photo attached, Add email address and click send!
