Washing M&S Cashmere

What is the best method please?

It says it can go on machine on a 40. I've hand washed before and machine washed at 30 on their own but they are coming out fuzzy.

Also think I need to get a cashmere comb to take away bobbles? If so how to I use?

Would like jumpers to look like they did when I bought them!! They're now fuzzy looking.

Thanks

Following as I have the same problem! First time owning a cashmere jumper Grin

Try washing inside out?

I've done M&S cashmere on the machine woolly wash at 30 deg, with woolly/delicates liquid. Ours has been fine. I don't think I'd wash cashmere, or wool for that matter, at 40.
I do also hand wash, again with Woolite or similar, but machine spin afterwards.

I have lots of cashmere. I use the cold/wool hand wash cycle on my machine. I use Woolite and Lenor. Bobble comb from Woolovers used very lightly if needed. Fold don’t hang and beware moths. I haven’t had them but they can wreak havoc. Oh and also I buy my cashmere in a bigger size than usual just in case there is slight shrinkage. I love an oversized soft sweater.

I wash all my cashmere on a cold wash on a wool cycle. It can be the washing action which ruins knitwear as well as the temp. I don't use fabric softener on knitwear, but I do use a washing liquid specifically for woollens. Also get a cashmere comb and use lightly before washing.

Thanks for the sound advice. Feel more confident now. Will the ones I washed be revived a bit or now hat they're fuzzy is that it? Hope not!

I haven’t been brave enough to put my cashmere in the machine.

I always wash on cold / woollens cycle with hand wash / Woolite. Ditto using Comb for bobbles when necessary.
Regretfully dry cleaned for years which cost an absolute fortune and didn't achieve nearly as good a result as washing now does...
