Boot storage.

I’m hoping you can all give me some tips here. Where do you keep your walking boots? DS and I regularly go out and have filthy boots that need to dry. Same for DH’s trainers.
We have a narrow hallway with white wall paper and a carpet.
Where do you all store your muddy boots?
How about welly boots? Only 1 pair but I don’t tend to use them as nowhere to store them!

In your situation I would suggest a welly boot bag for your wellies.

Do you have any outside space for your walking shoes - a lockable mini shed?
Or a small heater airer with a tray underneath for the muck and then into boot bags once dry?

When wellies are really muddy, use outside scraper and tap and drip dry on IKEA shoe mat (BAGGMUCK £1.95). We are lucky to have an undercover arch though. Walking boots just left outside for mud to dry and then knocked off against the wall .

If not too bad, and for ordinary shoes, there is another shoe mat just inside the door where all shoes/boots go. When they are dry they get shoved in a "monk's bench". I'm sure there's another name for that - seat with lift up bit - but I don't know it.

Boot box outside the back door

I store boots on a 14 inch wide shelf above the coat rack (it’s a sort of integrated thing). Outside by the back door I have Keter storage box. They are waterproof and I keep wellies in there. You can sit on the box as well, so it acts as somewhere to take wet things off. You can buy the Keter box on Amazon and I bought the rack new on eBay .

Muddy walking boots in the kitchen by the Blackfoot till fully dry then in a sealed plastic box in the the garage.
