Here I am and I expect there will be a list, just can't think what yet! Am tired as only had 4 hours sleep last night, so it's going to take alot of coffee to get me up and started!

Back again, been busy and now having a cuppa.

My done list

Swept and hoovered up
washed up and dried up
general tidy up all downstairs
cushion covers washed
Washing machine loaded
Dryer loaded

Most probably will find something else to do. Watching This Morning at the moment and feeling really sad at the discussion. My eldest is 11 years old and I don't know what I would do if anything happened to him.

Time to have some quick lunch and then collect ds. Master bedroom wardrobe and drawers are vastly improved but took much longer than planned cos once I started there was no point in not doing it properly. May tackle dds wardrobe once ds and I are home or leave it for another day.

See you all later x

shouldbe · 25/04/2007 12:17

Luda hope ds likes his new bed

Londonmamma · 25/04/2007 12:35

Aufish and Nine - was a bit ambitious, hven't finished the shirts and must do school pick-up shortly, just felt the need for a MN hit now.

Glitter - are you sure that's a real G.P. ?!
I loved the one about asking the child whether she wanted to go to school Duh!

ludaloo · 25/04/2007 12:57

Hello again

Been to the shop, collected DS, and I'm happy to report he seems to like his new bed!! Lets see if he is still as keen at bedtime!!

I still haven't really got a list today. I think I am going to go and buy a bag of coal in a bit, and get a fire going. We haven't had one for weeks, but it has gone chilly. Will be good to heat the water up too.

ludaloo · 25/04/2007 13:02

shouldbe and yadd thanks ...he seems quite chuffed, but I have had to stop him bouncing on it, so he lost interest quite quickly!! TUT!

Mhamai hope you are feeling a bit better soon. Enjoy your leaba

Jelley hope all went well with the MMR...my dd2 is due hers aswell.

Hi to EVERYONE

glitterfairy · 25/04/2007 13:09

LOl lm he did look suspiciously young!

luda hope your bed impresses your ds.

Have now

hung the washing out
made a real mess looking for a bill
run for two miles 9 (short so as not to be away from dd who is fine and enjoying a revolting disney fest whilst eating cheese on toast and lolling making a mess!)
Made lunch (see above)
about to have a shower before work at 2.

See you later

tortoise · 25/04/2007 13:12

Hi all.
I am felling a bt bleurgh today! Tired and just generally no energy. No idea what it is. I even had an early night last night.

Won't be long before its time to go out again to pick DS's upp. Managed to drag myself to toddler group this morning! SW had to cancel her visit to me.

Not really done much else other than DW and wipe down work top!

Hope poorly ones feel better soon.

tortoise · 25/04/2007 13:13

Shouldbe Well done.
Luda Bed sounds cool. Glad DS likes it.

shouldbe · 25/04/2007 13:45

We're home again
Need to get out in the garden so may do that while ds is having some quiet time in front of Bob the Builder...or may sit down for a while myself and get in the garden in a bit
My teenage God-daughter is coming this afternoon, she'll be great entertainment for the kids which is always a help then we have an early supper on a Weds so dd can get to Rainbows. I think dh is working late this eve

shouldbe · 25/04/2007 13:46

Hope you're OK Tort - have some lazy time this afternoon if you can
Glad ds liked his bed Luda , my ds still shows every visitor to the house his not-quite-so-new bed

Jelley · 25/04/2007 14:09

afternoon,

ds isok, just afew tears. He is asleep, and I just fell asleep in front of the tv Not like me, but I have had this cold for almost a fortnight and am feeling really run down.

My parents are here tomorrow, so I sould make a bit of an effort...

Londonmamma · 25/04/2007 14:24

Jelley - why for having a nap?? It's one of life's genuine pleasures and is good for you. Enjoy!

staceym11 · 25/04/2007 14:49

oh tort hope you feel better soon! recieved the swim nappy, its lovely thanks!!

jelley dont be about falling asleep, i tend to have a nap on the sofa most days, what i get about is that dd is running around amusing herself and will only wake me up if she needs a wee wee, so it could be 2hrs im sleeping for! lol!

well my lsit now:

done:

washing on
sort washing from yesterday
s+s bathroom
put clean sheet on dds bed (she wet again this morning)
take letters to post box (well got dh to do it on his way to work! )
do washing up from yesterday

wildwoman · 25/04/2007 14:55

Hi All, have just been reading the Fly website and am thinking about starting on monday. Is it as simple as it sounds and do you find it helps?

glitterfairy · 25/04/2007 14:57

Hello wildwoman I have found this thread really useful and dont get the emails anymore from the fly site as they are really annoying and come about eight times a day.

Everyone here is welcoming and great it is a nice place to sob about your lack of homemaking ability and celebrate it when it all goes well.

wildwoman · 25/04/2007 14:58

I am actually really excited about it! My DP is going to think I've lost the plot though!

staceym11 · 25/04/2007 15:06

hi! FLYing is a brilliant way to organise your life! my dh thought i'd gone mad but now he's seen the effects he even shines my sink!!

hes seen me go from the messiest person in the world to a lovely tidy person and he loves it! i even tried to get my mum in on the act yesterday.......but what is it they say about old dogs new tricks

grouchyoscar · 25/04/2007 15:46

Oh Gawd! A mum from nursery said we should meet for coffee. Mindful of the fact I've stalled her a few times I said 'come round this aft'. I knew her son (6) has behavioural issues but jeez. Never let me be seen to be complaining about my DS ever again.

Mind you, I didn't feel the need to ban them from the house or turn my back on them, all her other 'friends' have. And she said how nice and clean the house was. Honestly if you ever find me think I have problems please cyber slap me.

This aft's dones

Collect DS
Make lunch
Tidy away
Water and slug treat the seedlings
Change DS
Load and run WM
Sort through drying washing for putting away
Make coffee and phone calls.
Tidy toys in yard
Put everything in the porch
Sit down.

Haven't had time to read the whole thread yet but to all sick los and their mums

Hope everyone is well and those that aren't get better soon

Jelley · 25/04/2007 16:02

If I'd done the housework first I wouldn't be but I'm reallyn ot getting much done at the moment, and just felt like I was being lazy.

I will have an early night tonight though.

Not going to look at my list as most of it in't done. DD1 has just reminded me she is doing a show at Brownies and I'm supposed to go and watch. Grr.

wildwoman It really does amke a huge difference. Even though I'm having a rubbish week, my house isn't so bad I daren't invite people in, and I know I can get back on top of things really quickly when I'm feeling better. (Never got on top of things before , ever!)

shouldbe · 25/04/2007 16:46

~pack lunches done
~empty/reload dw done
~cycle the school run done
~empty/sort/put away contents of td done
~wm x1 done
~book ds for his pre-sch jabs (hope your ds is OK with his MMR Jelley)
~wardrobe and drawers in main bedroom done
~wardrobe in dd's bedroom
~gardening done
~dd to Rainbows soon
~plan food for party this weekend thought about it ....

Better go and get supper - we'll be late for Rainbows as usual God-daughter hasn't turned up .....

BabiesEverywhere · 25/04/2007 17:21

Oh heck, I managed to get our running machine out of the box/spare room (which should be DD's when I clear it out) and I got it stuck in the doorway

So I had to ring for my father to come down and help me de-wedge it and get it into the second bedroom (where I have already got a clean space for it to go.)

ButI am really pleased to be making progress in the worse room of the house.

I hope to get DD in this room very soon. I think that having her in with us is not helping her sleep at night and at 8 months old I don't think she is too young to have her own room is she ?
