Silver coloured frame turned mottled / Pink

Does anyone know how to get this silver frame back to how it was?
It's only silver plate I believe, it's the Vera wang infinity frame and wasn't cheap.

I've had it sat in a cupboard and just thought about using it but find it's turned mottled with pink.

Can I fix?

I've tried stuff to remove tarnish but it's not made a difference

I have a white company one that’s gone like that too. Very annoying. No idea how to solve though.

I've vets Wang candlesticks that did the exact same. They were a wedding gift and within the year were covered in pink spots. I returned them and they sent a new pair...a few years on they are fine apart from one small spot.

Have you tried polishing it?

I've tried polishing & tarnish remover but hasn't made a difference at all

Up until I noticed the pink I had been using a soft dry cloth as per the instructions... once I noticed the tarnishing I went all out with silvo etc. Didn't make the slightest difference
... it was almost as though the pink was under a layer of laquer. I'm afraid your only bet is to contact Wedgwood

Maybe the silver plate has worn thin/oxidised and the pink is actually the base metal (pink suggests a copper alloy)?
