Does anyone have a zinc topped dining table?

I'm so annoyed...ours has had a tablecloth on it over the Christmas period which must have got damp, just taken it off and the table is covered in big watermarks which won't come off. I know it will mark over time anyway but we've only had it a couple of months and it looks dreadful. Any tips for sorting it out?

What’s the finish on the table? If it is French polished, or varnished, you can use a cool iron and a piece of cotton cloth (I used a pillowcase) to gently remove the moisture. I found full instructions online. I did this with an antique table which had two huge white circular heat marks and also on a cabinet top where there was a mark from a vase.
