salt and cornflour are the secret ingredients

do you know how to make a white sauce?
Well in addition to the ordinary flour you will be dissolving some cornflour in chicken stock and using that in place of half of the milk of a white sauce.

Not sure, but if it were me, I would make a white sauce and mix the chicken and ham into it.

Mumpbump · 23/04/2007 13:36

Good idea to use chicken stock instead of milk. Being a veggie, couldn't think what you would flavour the sauce with!

You can use Campbells condensed soup as a binding agent. I'm not keen myself, but it does work.

dingolimpet · 23/04/2007 13:37

I did think of that, but i'm not sure thats quite what I'm after, you know when you buy a chicken and mushroom and pie pre-made, its sort of a white gravy.
