Interim car should we buy it or not- Mould issue

We badly need a new car but we haven’t fully decided which one we want to invest in long term.

My DP has just seen a car which could be ideal for now in terms of size, body condition and cost. However on viewing it, when I stepped inside I immediately spotted some mould on the seat belts and then in between the back seats!

What I’d like to know is is this a superficial problem and easily remedied or is it one that is likely to plague us for evermore and should not be touched with a barge pole.

My DP thinks it shouldn’t be a problem and wants to snap it up before it goes but I’m concerned that it’s symptomatic possibly of a larger problem or could be reoccurring.

Anyone with views and/ or experience of this I’d be truly grateful to hear from you. You ideas on cleaning for permanent irradication would also be appreciated.

TIA

I once bought a car that had some mould on the seats. I had it steam cleaned and the problem never reoccurred.
