I bought the 27 cm oval casserole in chiffon pink as it was on sale, ordered the 26 cm cotton shallow casserole too, whoops! Grin Then realised after that the pink is glossy abd the cotton is matt, does it matter do you think? I have no other enamel le creuset... I love purple, but thought cassis was a bit too dark to go with the pink, other choice was coastal blue... have i made the right choice? .........if i was to get another to go with chiffon pink and cotton, should it be cassis or coastal blue? (Not than I need another Hehe, but was thinking 22 cm round casserole? Only 2 of us...) I have been dithering for so long! It's too expensive to make the wrong choice! Have a horrible orange wood kitchen that came with the house, eventually thinking white and grey... would love some opinions please Smile Thank you! (Live in UK, so don't seem to have as many choice of colours)

I would get all the same colour but what do I know. And surely the whole colour range is available here? There's a shop near me that does all of them

My immediate thought is do you need two casserole dishes. And I say that as someone who has a lot of oven to table dishes.

I started with volcanic, and have just this year upgraded ti almond. It took a good few years and a long service award from work, but i am happy to have almond, now.

Sarah1210A · 18/12/2017 22:13

Hi, I would love all the same colour, but I'm just trying to get nice colours that still go together as cheap as i can Grin plus then if any get discontinued it won't matter as much (if I ever did get anymore)

Ooh 2 casseroles? What sizes and shapes would you recommend? Is the 27cm oval okay for meat/whole chicken etc?

Volcanic and almond are lovely, very classic, it's so difficult deciding what to get! I'd have them all! Grin

I definitely second the idea of getting a mix of colours in case they are discontinued- we got bought a few le creuset bits for wedding gifts (all blue, I think people must have agreed it between themselves because we didn't do a wedding list) but they don't make that colour any more! I have a mismatched casserole in cream and wish I had all different colours instead of just one different. It is lovely though Smile

sausagerollsrock · 18/12/2017 22:24

I like the costal blue with what you already have. I like that they are all pastel shades.

suchatiredbunny · 18/12/2017 22:30

I've got two in cassis, one round casserole pot and one large flat round with a lid. The only difference is that the smaller one is now matte having lost its shine from being used more and so put through the dishwasher.

MrsPestilence · 18/12/2017 22:31

Sarah you need these and another casserole Grin. We have a cacophony of red and volcanic plus one bit of blue Confused

I have 5 le Creuset casseroles, all in different colours. I much prefer that to having one or two colours, and it makes it easier to collect them over time.

AdultHumanFemale · 18/12/2017 22:41

I like an un-matchy set of casseroles. I have three colours on the go, a couple of pans in each. I much prefer a rebellious mismatch than a try hard 'set' Grin My colours don't even really 'go' with each other, but I did that deliberately too! Gives a nice, rustic vibe.

nooka · 18/12/2017 22:46

Are you likely to be using all your dishes at once or just thinking what would look nice in your cupboard? Personally I don't like pastel so I'd go with Cassis. I have a classic blue oval casserole dish, it's about 25 years old now, and we had a very useful small orange dish with a omelette frying pan lid that dh killed (we didn't realise it could have been resurfaced). Subsequently have bought a couple of almost but not quite le Creuset dishes in brick red and lemon yellow.

Sarah1210A · 19/12/2017 06:24

Oh good glad I'm doing the right thing getting different colours! And getting 2 casseroles, just hope im choosing the right sizes. I like the blue with them most too (I think hehe) but have no blue in the house at all Hmm although I'm probably really over thinking it all!

Also don't know how I'd break the news I'm thinking of a 3rd!!! It's not one of those things you can try to get away with by saying you've had it for ages!

OP posts:
Sarah1210A · 19/12/2017 06:43

They'd probably be on a cupboard if I can find room, I doubt id use them all at the same time, but they might have to sit on the worktop if I can't make space (limited strong storage)

I'd definitely get the cassis. Don't like the pastel colours at all.

I have a medium orange round casserole, a large blue oval and a very large blue shallow casserole. I probably use the shallow one the most but I wouldn't be without the others. Especially at this time of year!

Sarah1210A · 19/12/2017 07:30

Yey I'm glad 3 seem to be used a lot... didn't know I could do this on my phone, makes it easier to see

I like the pastels together. It looks more deliberate.

I've got volcanic from various places. It's a bit retro but I haven't bought new.
