I had try with a few cleaning companies. they require to book a minimum of 3 hours service on 13 pounds/hour. that's not the biggest problem. the biggest problem is the cleaners seems don't care about doing a good job. They try to do as minimum as they can and they break my stuff twice. and they use their phones too often or even talk on phone when they work on my flat. I had think about to find self-employed cleaner. maybe they care about keeping return customers? I am not sure and I don't know if it is safe. could anyone give me suggestion please?

Hi op, do you have any local contacts i.e. Children at school where you could ask about? If not maybe put a notice in the local shop or post office.

I'm going to start up a cleaning business probably next year and this is how I will advertise my services first.
Word of mouth counts for a lot.

I would rather have someone in my home that really cared about the quality of their work and the cleaners you have described sound a bit unprofessional.

Best of luck :)

Do you have a town Facebook page? Post on there and ask for personal recommendations.
