Do I need to clean tumble dryer before using?

Probably a silly question. I’ve splashed out on a new tumble dryer. I am used to doing some sort of process to get rid of factory chemicals on new appliances and it’s usually mentioned in the manual - such as heating cookers for a certain amount of time to burn off factory chemicals before cooking food; running new washing machines on empty before using etc.

There are no instructions for anything like this on my dryer, so does that mean it’s good to put laundry in immediately or am I missing something. I did give the drum a little wipe round with a damp microfibre cloth...

I recently got a new dryer and just cracked on with it, clothes came out fresh! Don't think you need to do anything
