I have a cream wool carpet and what I think is dark coloured cough mixture stain, pretty large. Unfortunately wasn't detected immediately so has sunk in to the carpet.
I've tried various things and whilst it's faded it's still very visible.
So far have tried Dr Beckmann and vanish carpet stain removers (several times) and distilled white vinegar (a couple of times).
Any other ideas....?
Also anyone got experience of professional carpet cleaners, worth the money? It was an expensive carpet so worth forking out if either buying one of those machines or getting a company in will actually get rid of the stain.
