Can anyone enlighten me as to how these have got marked? Is it with use of cleaning sprays? Anyway I can polish them up?

Ignore the fact the actual hob needs a clean!

Are they enamelled? I.e. shiny where they are clean? If so, stick them in the bag with your oven shelves with some Oven Pride. Works like a dream.

No not shiny I'm afraid.... they are a bit rough to touch

Try soaking them in warm water you’ve dissolved some bio washing powder in - the enzymes should dissolve the baked on food.

I don't think it's baked on food, more like the colour has worn off?
