Do they stain with wine/fat etc? Or does the gunge just wipe straight off?
Am fed up of buying mats that are ruined after only a few messy meals!

We have some, seem alright so far but we have only had them a couple of months. We just wiping them clean with a damp cloth after meals and they are from Tescos so fairly cheap too around £4 I think

got some from next dark brown leather (fake) I think they call it faux (snigger) rubbish .. if you wipe them with anthing damper than a teardrop they warp, and after putting a hot plate on one of them now have a rather lovely imprint

still on the search for some decent long lasting ones

(considering bamboo ?)

Kelly1978 · 20/04/2007 14:41

nah, they will imprint. Try john Lewis, we got some lovely granite ones from there, they are lovely, and impossible to mark.

Thanks all. You have confirmed my suspicions about leather - faux or otherwise!
