Any recommendations for a dryer or washer dryer

We currently have a washer dryer. It does the job well enough but very rarely use it for drying as clothes come out smelling a bit damp. I'm not sure whether to attribute this to it being a washer dryer, it's age or something else entirely.

I do quite a lot of washing and I'm sick of having multiple clothes horses up. I do about 1 load per day but with no space to dry outside my house looks like a laundrette!

Please could anyone recommend a decent, affordable dryer or effective washer dryer? Thanks!

I would totally recommend a Miele washer dryer. Mine is at least 12 years old and it's amazing. Probably doesn't come under the 'affordable' banner at the start but has lasted twice as long as any of my previous machines....

We have the cheapest beko condenser dryer which we got a couple of months ago. There we're cheaper available but they were indesit and hit point and with all the faults and fires in the news decided against those brands.

Its great! Full load of washing bone dry in about 1 and a half hours (we do an extra spin and dry is the washer before putting it in the dryer)

Easy to maintain just pull the water drawer out and empty it after every wash and clear the fluff filter. Both easily accessible.

Samsung Ecobubble washer dryer. Had it a year now and it's fab.

(Utopia is having 2 of them Smile)

I had a NEFF washer/dryer which I thought I liked but recently moved and inherited a Bosch tumble dryer and the difference to the time it takes to dry clothes is amazing. I don't think I could go back to a combi again.

I've got a Bosch Serie 4 dryer and it's AMAZING! It's never taken more than an hour to dry everything thoroughly - towels, jeans, sheets, a full load of baby clothes . . . Literally anything - fill it up, come back in an hour and fold.

I too spent years with a crap washer/dryer and hanging clothes all over the house waiting over a day for them to dry and stuff smelling damp . . . Never again will I not have a dryer!!!

We bought an AEG condenser from John Lewis when on promotion and it’s great. Very low energy useage, condenser is a tiny tube out to the drain so you don’t have to empty it out. Room doesn’t steam up when in use. Loads of programmes and a timer so can set for when economy 12 is available.

Bosch tumble dryer here as well.

Another Meile dryer recommendation.
Wouldn't get a washer dryer though.

I agree if you can afford a separate dryer go for it. I have a Zanussi which I've had for 15 years. 2 kids in real nappies since and going strong still...
