what to expect of a cleaner

wouldn't surprise me if its been asked before but:

i'm about to hire a cleaner, with budget we have its just going to be 2 hours a week, every week.

we live in a small 2 bed terrace so none of the rooms are large.

What is realistic to expect them to do in that time.

i don't want to give them this huge list and get laughed at but similarly i want to get as much done as is an option and not be paying for 2 hours when it turns out it could all be done in 45 mins for example.

so what i hope for is:

kitchen,
bathroom (toilet, sink and floor),
shower room (toilet, floor and shower),
living room damp dust and floors
hall floor
hoover stairs landing and 2 bedrooms

please tell me if i am being very unreasonable in my expectations/hopes.

i know if i want special 'deep cleans' done it would be in addition and thats fine i'm just needing something to keep the house ticking over week to week.

If you live in a 2-bed house, I'd expect a cleaner to be able to do the whole house in 2 hours - as long as there isn't lots of mess/surface clearing for them to do before they can actually clean.

I ha the cleaner round first and we talked about what I wanted. She told me things that were not included and would cost more (ironing). She also told me what cleaning products she preferred and I asked her to leave empties on the side so I'd know something needed replacing. I bought plenty of everything. They will be able to tell you what is feasible given the size of your house. What you've described sounds reasonable, but I don't know the size of rooms etc.

My cleaner cleans and mops my three bedroom house in two hours and changes beds!

i hadn't ever thought about the idea of them changing beds, that would be most excellent. might see if thats possible too then, thanks. (it would only be 1 bed)
