Nice inexpensive plain white bedding - where??

I bought some duvet and pillow warehouse/ soak and sleep one day not that long ago. They've always been a bit crap and have now worn through! I'm done with spending £££ on bedding if it doesn't last.

Where can I get nice plain white bedding? Without spending £££

Check out eBay for ex hotel stock.

Squirrelfruitandnutkin · 27/11/2017 18:32

Thanks all!

Not going back to soak and sleep - just not impressed at all with theirs.

Looked in Ikea yesterday- the white sets weren't really white iyswim and were either satin-y or had detailing i didn't like. Bit disappointed as the kids bedding from Ikea has worn really well.

Will check out the other suggestions. Except tK max as ours is like a jumble sale and makes me stressy. 😬

I have The White Company, Joules and Primark bedding.
For the cost, you cannot beat Primark.

I've never heard of Soak and Sleep.... anyway I have sets of Hotel duvet covers and sheets which I think I got from Dunelm which have quite a high thread count and have lasted well. We currently have a Fenn Wright Manson one onwhich must be from TK Maxx. I do try and break up the white sometimes with interesting pillowcases and recently bought 2 by Karl Largerfeld

SpiritedLondon · 27/11/2017 23:28

Oops posted too soon.... also from TK Maxx.

Thanks everyone - I went for some 100% cotton pintuck duvet sets from Asda. Was probably half what I'd paid at soak and sleep for the current set so will be interesting to see how these ones last.

My primark white sheets are without a doubt the best sheets I've ever owned-they've stayed soft, wash well, are really thick...can't fault them.
I've also just bought that Asda set linked up thread and very pleased with it thus far.

Firstaidnovice · 28/11/2017 21:15

I've got the wilko set linked to upthread. I love them. They feel way more expensive than they are

MynewnameisKy · 03/12/2017 11:51

I would really recommend these.

Wait until January and get it in the sale. The quality is excellent.

I've bought plain white, king-size duvet sets from eBay for £10-12. They were new and I think from Wilkinson's originally.

I've also got lucky in Tesco's sale before.

SandAndSea · 03/12/2017 11:58

Oo, Primark! Forgot about them. My mum got a lovely set from there.

SandAndSea · 03/12/2017 12:02

I'm guessing that the 100% cotton set from Asda will need a lot of ironing? (That doesn't work for me.)

Ifartrainbowsandglitter · 03/12/2017 12:06

Sainsbury’s is good quality and good value.

BillyAndTheSillies · 03/12/2017 13:01

We usually buy from TK Maxx or linens direct on amazon. Our mattress is really thick so we have to find extra deep sheets and they don't always have those in TK.

Found wilko to be really scratchy.

Orangebird69 · 03/12/2017 13:03

La Redoute.

gingerclementine · 03/12/2017 13:04

I bought absolutely plain white 100% cotton bedding for DS from Sainsburys. It wasn't expensive and so far has lasted well.

TitaniasCloset · 03/12/2017 13:35

Marks and Spencer's is really good as is Sainsbury's, I have bought plain white linen from both and the quality has been really good.
