I've done my shopping online in the last two weeks - so Thursday night I was all done and ready to pick up today. This has made me feel like I am finally getting on top of things, along with:

Up to date on YNAB

Washing basket empty

Ironing basket empty

Bullet journal back in action

I'm tackling housework and Christmas shopping today so feel like I'm back on track (finally Grin)

What makes you feel like you've got your act together?

I like to do a little of everything every day. So every day I'll do a wash, I'll iron what was washed the previous day, beds are made, bathrooms and kitchen cleaned and the house hoovered. I find by doing a bit of everything every day nothing takes too long and I feel (!) the house always looks reasonably clean and tidy. I can't relax in the evening if there is mess around me.
That said, my husband works long hours but I work few. My children are 11 and 13 so no little ones making a mess. We do have a dog but he is well behaved and of the non shedding variety. He does love his toys so they are often scattered about but only take a minute to return to his box.
I am a very structure driven person though. I like to go to bed by ten but I'm happy to be up by 730 at the weekends.

A clean, dry stack of towels - neatly folded, in colour order.

* Washing basket empty* < and this!! It happens so rarely with a baby in the house!

mad I have been trying to do a bit every day and failing miserably! Therefore ended up with all to do this weekend.* May try to just do major stuff now (clean bathrooms) and do other stuff in the week (dusting).* I'm a single mum with a 16yo DS and work long hours so often knackered when I get in Confused

Anon yes to the neatly folded towels! A tidy airing cupboard also = winning.**

Washing basket empty.
Adults clothes away.

These are rare. And when they both happen on the same day its like the holy grail

I hoover the downstairs every 1-2 days. Light, hard floors which show the dirt and drives me nuts looking at it otherwise. If the floor’s dirty it makes everything else look messy too, which isn’t the case.

I have a notebook on the kitchen work surface which I list all the things to do that day. Without that book I’d be a blubbering wreck.

I’ve just invested in a heated airer and being able to wash and dry clothes within the same day is brilliant. Keeps on top of it, and stops annoying wet clothes cluttering up the house.

My washing basket is never empty though. I absolutely hate that.

Not quite sure where all the bold came from in that post! Blush
