Safety Stair gates for babies

Hello
Can anyone recommend the best brand/type of these - new to this purchase!

Have seen some in friends houses that never seemed that sturdy to me and came away from the wall in some cases!

Which brand do you use and what do you think?

Also I've seen see through ones - who makes these and do you think they look a bit nicer than the gate ones?

Babydan extendable. They are wall mounted so no bar at the bottom to trip over. Open easily with one hand. Staircase maintains its width as gate opens completely, rather than stepping through a gap in the gate.

I'd rather put filler in some holes in a few years time than have to squeeze through a trip hazard multiple times a day.
