Cooking!

I've half cooked a chicken casserole on hob which needs to finish in oven... don't like leaving oven on while I pop out for approx 1 hour. Can I leave casserole out half cooked then put in oven in about one hour? Just thinking of bacteria growth etc.

Would probably be ok but so would leaving the oven on for that short time. Have left casseroles in the oven bubbling away for hours when I've gone out, why aren't you comfortable with it?
