Poor cat ,recent surgery to eyelids ,collar on .

Pooed overnight on lounge carpet - caught short ? walked it all over the place so lots of areas .

Quite sticky residue .

What to do ??? I've never found a good carpet cleaner even for normal stains .

I have a puppy and an old ill cat who died recently so a bit of experience of poo stains. If you own or can borrow a proper carpet shampooer and get some pet stain cleaner to put in it, that should do the job. I have a Bissell cleaner and use the Bissell pet stain product, but I think other brands like Rug Doctor, etc also do a special pet stain cleaner. IME shampooing the whole carpet does less damage to the pile and is less likely to leave a mark or smell than spot cleaning.

Thanks idea, that makes sense .I can imagine spot cleaning is going to look odd .
