Natural Insect Repellents

I've just been scared half to death by a selection of massive flying insects that keep getting in my flat.

Is there something I can wipe over window ledges and door frames that will send them in the opposite direction? Preferably something natural.

Sorry, if it's been done recently. A link would be great too.

some suggestions here

I get flypapers in my local Pound shop that I hang at windows to trap the unwary

Thanks Macdog

Good link and I LOL at "One bat will eat up to 600 mosquitoes, harmful moths and other insect pest per hour at night. Bats do not attack people or harm pets and can be encouraged to inhabit "bat houses" on your property." I don't THINK so

If you want something a bit more bizarre try this !!
It pops up on a few sites
?????

Well if it works, you couldn't get any more natural than that. I'm going to try it tomorrow with some ordinary sandwich bags - don't see why they need to be zip lock. Thanks

Just found this. How did the home-made bags of water method repel flies?? Was it good? Did the baggies spring a leak (my main fear)
