Vacuum cleaners recommended please?

Dyson just blew up.
Mrs Pan and I want a lightweight simple and space-efficient vac. No animal hairs involved off/on with a couple of attachments and ease to move around.
Any observations please?
Tia

A Miele canister vac, hands down. I've always just bought the least expensive one and they last for many years, great power. The Germans do know how to build them.

Miss - that Miele looks perfect! We want a small one for storage space reasons and fairly uncomplicated and light.

am dying for the cordless dyson. i only went and bought a new vax at the end of last year so it’s going to be a long wait Sad

Pannnn · 24/10/2017 09:38

Thank you but those dysons are £000s! For that price we'd want someone to come round to do the cleaning!

Don’t get a Dyson cordless. I hate it and emptying it is absolutely gross.

SureIusedtobetaller · 24/10/2017 09:41

Miele- I've got the cat and dog but it would still be a great vac if I didn't have any pets. Well thought out and built. It gives me a work out but really gets the crap up.

Pannnn · 24/10/2017 09:42

Yes emptying the Dyson that died wasn't pretty.

It's settled. Miele canister it is!

Many thanks all.

Great, so glad I could help.Smile

By the way, we have three cats and the Miele is brilliant with the loose fur. It's really powerful. And it just feels like a quality machine.

Pannnn · 24/10/2017 10:00

Yes much appreciated. Lovely to no longer have to put hands into the Dyson's box to free up stuff that's become stuck in the bits of plastic fittings. Really not nice.

Shark Liftaway!

Have had mine a month after 20 years plus of Dysons. Wish I'd discovered it earlier!
