I sat a very hot saucepan with a copper bottom onto a microfibre cloth and melted it onto the surface. Any tips on how to get it off? TIA

Soak in hot soapy water and scrub with barkeepers friend. That should work.

Make a medium consistency paste of washing powder and layer it on. Leave it a few hours and should easily come off.
