Soap Nuts

I need to cut household costs and want to start with soap nuts. I have some but can someone advise me the best way to use them? How many do I use and how many times can they be used? Thanks.

Haha I just googled what they are. I can't imagine ever having the patience to faff about with something like that

I used them years ago and found they stained washing, I now make my own using borax substitute, washing soda crystals, Castillo soap and a few drops of essential oil, works a treat, very economical and cuts down on packaging
