Broken zip

Oh wise Mumsnetters! I caught my new £60 coat zipper in a railing and lost the zip closer(if you know what I mean?) into the sea. Can you buy new ones and attach them to an empty zip? The"stopper" is there still. Tia x

John lewis have some tags you can attach or find a piece of coordinating ribbon or cord to thread through.

My zip on my coat went the other week. A tailor shop replaced the whole zippy thing (not the tread but the little thing that goes up and down the tread to close the zip) for £6.

I'm very clumsy and could never have done it myself
