Morning

I've skimmed a bit of yesterdays thread, so will probably miss loads, but have noticed that EHMs dd and glassslippers dd are both still not well.
I hope they are both ok today.
EHM - I did look at your thread but am too late to give advice. At 10 months I wouldn't worry too much about solid food if her appetite is poor. Just keep going with milk/other fluids, and she'll eat when she is ready.

DimpledThighs are you still looking for kids websites? How old is your ds?

Well, I got loads done yesterday, so todays plan is to do the mission, hoover and cut the grass.

glassslipper · 11/04/2007 07:24

Morning Jelley.

DD is on the mend i think although tummy still a bit dodgy.

We're off out today to a friends though which will help my sanity

Will put the rest of yesterdays shopping away in a bit and then do a general tidy.

I do the mission as part of my kitchen clean up every month anyway so it will get done.

have a good day all.

shouldbe · 11/04/2007 07:28

Good morning
Thanks for the link Jelley Hope you have another successful day today

I'm looking after a friends 2 lo's for the morning today so don't know if that'll keep my kids busy so I can get on or if I'll be needed to keep everyone occupied...will have to see how
it goes. It looks set to be another sunny day so hopefully they'll all play in the garden.

I got most things done on my list yesterday but still have
~lots of washing
~lots of drying
~lots of folding and putting away
~floors to mop (not worth it till later in the day)
~s&s bathroom and cloakroom
~put away suitcases
~quick tidy in master bedroom
~quick tidy upstairs
~quick tidy and dust downstairs

Hope the dd's are feeling better for glassslipper and EHM, and hope tort is feeling well enough to enjoy the party today
Have a good day everyone

shouldbe · 11/04/2007 07:29

Oh - and I did todays mission yesterday, yay!

DimpledThighs · 11/04/2007 08:12

Thanks Jelley - any websites would be great, the ones from yesterday really suited him. He is 7.

Hi glassslipper shouldbe I did my kitchen yesterday too but have loads of stuff on the top of the fridge that I try not to look at so guess I am sorting that today.

We are off on a trip today so not planning on doing much fly wise.

  • bathroom left from yesterday

Have a nice day everyone - will check in later.

Morning everyone. My fridge actually could do with a clean so am going to do the inside instead as it is integral anyway and has nothing at all on the door.

Hope the sickies are better today and people got more sleep.

My dd of 8 is having a friend over today so I have to go and collect her and then am on a mission to help a dear friend with three lo's whose husband walked out two weeks ago and who is not coping at all and just crying non stop.

DimpledThighs · 11/04/2007 08:51

ha ha

I said I would sort out my recycling adn so I had a big pile of newspapers etc and three wine bottles and a gin bottle (easter party) and about 8 empty cans of lager in the hall and the doorbell goes. It was a man to read the meters and he had to step over this pile of newspapers and empty alcohol containers.

I bet he thought I was a right lush and my hall always looked like that!

glassslipper · 11/04/2007 08:56

lol @ DT

well, i have sorted the w/m, d/w, pile of dry washing ready to take upstairs, me and 2 DDs dressed. Just need to clean kitchen quickly before we go out.

yaddayah · 11/04/2007 09:17

@ dimpled.. we have a big green plastic box for cans and bottles which is emptied every 2 weeks .. its normally filled to the brim

glitter hope you can help your friend

tort hope you get to the party

ehm and glasssliipper hope your dc's are better

luda we only just did our sunflowers yesterday, hope haven't left it too late .. fancy a competition for the tallest one ?? (i usually forget to water them then ds drowns them so don't think we'll be much of a threat ?)

Right i've got to get my well padded rear in gear, got friends coming round this afternoon, and what with ds being ill (evening routines not happening etc) The house is looking more How clean is your House than Anthea perfect

List ... errr i won't bore you with it.. you'd be scrolling for hours

Have a good day, i'll be back with hopefully some progress

shouldbe · 11/04/2007 09:22

Phew - friends lo's aren't coming now till after lunch, giving me some extra time this morning to get organised
Have got a load of washing done and on the line and the 2nd load in the wm. Also soaking some hand-washing and have cleared the troublesome hotspot in the kitchen
Kids are playing up and dd is refusing to get dressed so they can't be turfed out into the garden (yet) Really want to get on this morning so think I'll let the kids get on with whatever they're playing and just press on with my own jobs. Always worry that I don't actively play with the kids enough when they're at home like this...

shouldbe · 11/04/2007 09:23

Yadda we'll be planting sunflower seeds too (not today though - prob at weekend) so will join you and Luda for a tallest comp

Jelley · 11/04/2007 09:38

DDs are at the swimming pool so I have until 11 with only ds

We have a glass recycling box....dp asked me to stop putting his beer bottles in it as it looks so bad. I still do, but he drinks less

OP posts:
shouldbe · 11/04/2007 10:12

Upstairs is as aceptable as it's going to be for today (without getting the hoover/dusters out). Still need to do bathroom but am going to have some breakfast first. Kids are dressed and dd is writing letters to the garden fairies (sweet!) ds in the meantime is creating havoc downstairs

ludaloo · 11/04/2007 10:33

Right...

~D/W done
~W/M done
~T/D on line instead
~Hoover
~Change beds done

Yaddah Lol!! Ours are on the kitchen window sill at the moment, we have 3 (one for each child) DD1's is the biggest by far (which she is very happy about!!)
I'll keep you updated on their hight

Right, have to go over to the shop so will catch up with everyone in a bit xxxxxxx

Aufish · 11/04/2007 11:04

Morning everybody, called the professionals for the washing machine and they are coming out tomorrow, apparently alot of washing machines have gone wrong over the weekend! Well here's my list for today

Try and ignore my increasing amount of washing
Hoover and dust, downstairs and upstairs
Clean my kitchen and do all the missions that I need to do
Clean both bathrooms
Get children to tidy their bedrooms
Sort the recycling
Might have to go to the launderette and get some washing done

So there is my list for today. Better get on with it.

yaddayah · 11/04/2007 11:19

Shouldbe you're on ! Our kitchen windowsill has two spiderplants (mil gave them to the dc's to grow.. guess who's looking after them !) And a weird plant that dd decorated at nursery for Mothers day .... so much for "clutter" free.. still knowing my luck with plants they won't be there much longer

Also shouldbe don't feel guilty its good for them ! I tend to let dc's 5 and nearly 3 play together for the majority of the day (i still get involved, but i reckon its better for them to do do independent play.. rather than structured with me "in charge" Play for them mainly involved shopkeepers, mummys and daddys (very sweet) and various cars/powerrangers/princess stuff, if they're squabbling i'll try to let them sort it out themselves unless it gets really nasty HTH

right .. deep breath

done list

D/W unloaded/reloaded and on again
Ditto W/M
Mission (ammend to inside of cupboards as our fridge has intergrated door IYKWIM)

Kitchen s/s
Cleaned under lounge sofa's
Cloakroom s/s
ds toy mountain removed from spare room to toy box in his room
Cleaned tv screen of sticky hand prints
Beds made
Windows open/downstairs inside windows cleaned
Sainsburys to you order reammended .. forgot to add nibbles/ foil/extra bread/milk (dd's 3rd birthday party at weekend)

Me shower and dress
Delve into freezer for sausages for tea (ds has friend over who "only eats sausages/beans/waffles!!)
Clear craft stuff out of dining room

Worn out just typing that .. off for a cuppa !

ChaCha · 11/04/2007 13:04

Hello ladies,

Have been trying to post regularly as i find this thread quite a motivator but the few minutes typing time has been spent on a hot cup of tea or the like (DS1 16mths, DS2 2mths) or just getting SOMETHING done!

My copy of Andrea's Perfect Housewife arrived, have read a few pages and as a result decluttered bathroom yesterday which although doesn't quite resemble a sanctuary with baby boxes and stuff around is clean and clutter free Anyone else order the book?

Grandad has tasken DS1 to park so so far have:

Fed and changed and cooed over DS1
Filled baby boxes with nappies, wipes etc..
Hoovered rugs
Tidied DS2's toys, some cleaned, arranged etc..
Cleaned porch, shoes away (DS2 doesn't seem to like them tidy and on shelves), swept floor
Swept and mopped adjoining room
Washing machine on
Kettle boiling

Feeling great to have the chance to tidy and clean Hurray!

yaddayah · 11/04/2007 13:55

cha cha I know someone got Anthea's bible recently .. mind gone blank as to who it was .. but i have just ordered it myself from Amazon so should get it in the next few day..

Your list sounds good .. thinking back to when my two were that little i think i would have got as far as turning the kettle on
